4th INTERNATIONAL MEETING OF 2 CV PRIENDS

lt is a Tradition coming from Finland to organise every two years
"THE INTERNATIONAL MEETING OF 2 CV FRIENDS".
Then it was the turn of the Swiss, the Danes and now the time arrives
for Belgium to organise this large fete. lt all happens at ZEDELGEM,
(very close to the historic town of BRUGES) on the sports complex
"DE GROENE MEERSEN".
The pleasant community of ZEDELGEM lies in the countryside of
TYL EULENSPIEGEL and of NELE combines together with
sympathetic response entirely to the character of 2 CV drivers.
We propose to make this meeting for you a large BREUGEL type
fête of which the theme will be
"AND IF TYL HAD KNOWN THE 2 CV!".
To accentuate this theme and to create the atmosphere
of the 16th century, we invite you to participate in Breugelian costume
or in the corresponding costume of your region at that period.
Some rolls of material and a little imagination, perhaps, could make
a beautiful little costume which would not fail to augment
the surroundings of this friendly fête.
A complete programme is ready for you from your arrival at Zedelgem;
we are able to tell you already that we have arranged,
each morning, a fleamarket.
The afternoons would be reserved for games and the giving of
magnificient prizes and finaly in the evening you will have the choice
of the traditional campfire or dancing with exciting music.
On site you will find all the services to make your stay pleasant;
restaurants, drinks etc... lf you have small mechanical problems,
our 2 CV Crossman will be at your service to help you.
During the day, a service of looking after the children will allow
the parents to visit the beautiful region surrounding Zedelgem.
For the sporting types, several sports grounds will be available
as well as a covered swimming pool.
How to get to Zedelgem? lt is very simple.
Taking the Brussels/Ostende autoroute, you leave at exit Zedelgem,
and then follow the signs, leaving you about 5 kms (3 miles) to go.
Visitors are welcome and entrance is free.
For the participants of the meeting, there is a fee of 400 Belgian francs
per car and 50 Belgian francs per person. Children under 12 are free.
This payment pays for your place from your arrival.
Finally, to help our prepation, we ask you to return as soon as possible,
